Summer Camp

Our summer camp program is more than a camp: it is a comprehensive approach to horsemanship even if you have never ridden before. We teach both riding and horse care skills in a fun farm environment. You will train daily with the area’s finest instructors and each day will bring a new adventure. The morning will start with a mounted lesson on your horse. This is followed by a relaxing trail ride in the hunt field. After that, there is the joy of learning about our big friends from the ground. Riders will learn about all aspects of horsemanship: from basic and show grooming, to feeding and vet care, to how horses get their shoes on.

Horsemanship camp is not all about what you can learn; most of all it's great fun. We have horse decorating contests, grooming contests, games on horseback and the highlight is the Thursday night sleep over. Special sessions of the camp will have field trips to local horse shows, a veterinary hospital, a pony farm or Wildwater Kingdom.

Maypine Farm is not only a fun place to spend your summer; it also is a nationally-recognized show stable, having produced national champions for over two decades. Give your child the opportunity to learn from the best and have fun at the same time.

Summer camp begins the second week in June and runs Monday-Friday from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. We do offer before-and-after camp supervision service.

Camp is $350 for the first week, $325 for the second and third weeks and $300 for the fourth week and any additional weeks.. A $100 deposit is required to register and camp size is limited.
