Group Lessons

The majority of Maypine’s lesson program is presented in a group learning format. Our lessons are supported by progressive lesson plans. There is a formal evaluation of your progress after each session. Our programs' planning ensures that we cover the recommended information for each level, Beginner 1 through Advanced lessons.

Safety is our premier concern followed by learning in a fun and exciting environment. The majority of the lessons are mounted, but, one or two lessons per session will be ground lessons covering care, feeding, showing and the endless other details necessary for good horsemanship.

Group lessons are held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings. Day classes are held Saturdays and Sundays. Each class may vary in age distribution, but this adds to the fun and diversity of the learning experience. Our small class size ensures individualized instruction. We do offer private adult classes on request. The group lessons run on quarterly sessions: winter, spring, summer and fall.

Learning in a group lesson environment brings people together who have the same passion for horses and riding. It’s a great place to meet new friends that can last a lifetime.
